Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Life Axis India website and our healthcare facilitation services for patients in India and abroad. Please read them carefully — by using our Services you agree to them.

1 Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Life Axis India ("Life Axis India", "we", "us" or "our"), operated by Life Axis India. By accessing or using www.lifeaxisindia.com, submitting an enquiry, purchasing a Care Pass, or using any of our services (the "Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2 About us & our role

Life Axis India is a healthcare facilitation platform. We help patients in India and abroad connect with India's leading accredited hospitals and verified specialists, and we coordinate the practical side of planning care — such as priority appointments, indicative cost estimates, and guidance on choosing the right hospital and doctor.

We are not a hospital, clinic, diagnostic centre, insurer or medical practitioner, and we do not practise medicine. All medical care, diagnosis, treatment and advice are provided by independent third-party hospitals and doctors, who are solely responsible for their services. We act only as a facilitator and coordinator.

3 Our services

Depending on your needs and location, our facilitation services may include:

  • Helping you identify suitable accredited hospitals and verified specialists for your condition;
  • Arranging priority appointments and sharing indicative cost estimates provided by the hospital;
  • Personal guidance and coordination through your treatment journey;
  • For international patients — support with medical-visa invitation letters, airport pickup, accommodation near the hospital, interpreter services, and follow-up or tele-consultation after you return home;
  • For patients in India — the optional Care Pass discount membership (see section 10).

Our core consultation and guidance are offered at no extra cost to you — you pay the hospital directly for your treatment. The Care Pass is a separate, paid membership available only to patients in India.

4 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Services on your own behalf. You may use the Services in relation to a minor or another person only if you are their parent, legal guardian or authorised representative, and you confirm you have the authority to share their information and make arrangements for them.

5 Medical disclaimer & no doctor–patient relationship

Content on this website and information shared by our coordinators is for general information and coordination purposes only and is not medical advice. It is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment or the advice of a qualified physician.

Using our Services or communicating with our team does not create a doctor–patient relationship between you and Life Axis India. Any opinion, treatment plan, second opinion or estimate is provided by the treating hospital or doctor, not by us. Always rely on the advice of your treating physician for decisions about your health, and seek emergency care directly from local services when needed — our Services are not for medical emergencies.

6 No guarantee of outcomes; indicative estimates

We do not guarantee any particular medical result, recovery, availability of a doctor or hospital, appointment date, discount amount, or visa or travel approval. Cost estimates, savings, timelines and treatment options shared through us are indicative, are provided or applied by third parties, and may change based on your medical assessment, the provider's evaluation and other factors. Final terms are set by the relevant hospital, doctor or provider.

7 Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete and current information, including medical and contact details;
  • Make your own informed decisions and conduct your own due diligence on any hospital, doctor or treatment;
  • Obtain and maintain valid travel documents, visas, insurance and vaccinations as required;
  • Comply with applicable laws and the policies of the providers you engage;
  • Use the Services lawfully and not misuse, disrupt, scrape, copy or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website or systems.

8 Coordination & third-party providers

Submitting a form lets us contact you and begin coordinating your enquiry; it does not by itself create any medical or treatment contract. Any treatment, procedure or service you ultimately receive is governed by a separate agreement and the consent process between you and the treating hospital or doctor. Those third parties are independent, and we are not responsible or liable for their acts, omissions, quality of care, fees or outcomes.

9 Fees, payments & refunds

Our consultation and care-coordination guidance are free and offered with no obligation. Payments for medical treatment, hospital services, travel and similar costs are made directly to the relevant providers under their own terms, including their cancellation and refund policies. Unless stated otherwise in writing, we are not responsible for processing or refunding amounts paid to third parties.

The Care Pass membership carries a one-time fee, paid online through our payment partner. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by the payment provider — we do not store them. Refund and cancellation terms specific to the Care Pass are set out in section 10.

10 Care Pass terms (for patients in India only)

The Care Pass is a discount membership, not insurance. It is not an insurance product, is not underwritten or regulated by the IRDAI, and provides no coverage, indemnity or reimbursement of medical expenses. It is available only to patients in India.

What it is. The Care Pass is a one-time membership (currently ₹149) that entitles eligible members to a saving of up to 5% on eligible planned in-patient hospital charges at participating network hospitals, plus priority appointments and personal guidance in finding the right hospital and doctor. On successful payment you receive a unique membership ID, which you should quote when planning an admission.

Eligibility & conditions.

  • Available to patients in India only.
  • Applies to new, planned in-patient admissions at network hospitals only. It does not apply to out-patient (OPD) visits, emergencies, or if you are already an existing patient under treatment at that hospital.
  • The saving applies to eligible in-patient charges only and may be delivered as an instant discount or as cashback, depending on the hospital.
  • All figures are "up to" amounts and are not guaranteed. The actual saving depends on the hospital, your treatment and eligibility, and is applied by the hospital.
  • Network hospitals, participation and the saving may change from time to time.

Payment. The Care Pass fee is paid online through our payment partner (Razorpay). Your payment is verified before your membership is activated.

Refunds & cancellation. The Care Pass fee is a one-time activation fee for a membership whose benefits become available as soon as it is activated, and is therefore generally non-refundable. However, if you are charged more than once for the same membership, or your payment is debited but your membership is not activated, contact us at care@lifeaxisindia.com within [7] days and we will investigate and refund any duplicate or failed-activation charge. Any refund of amounts you pay to a hospital is governed solely by that hospital's policy.

11 Intellectual property

The website and its content — including text, graphics, logos, the "Life Axis India" name and branding, layout and design — are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the site for your personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or exploit any part of it without our prior written permission.

12 Third-party services & links

Our site relies on and may link to third-party services and websites — for example hospitals, our payment partner, customer-relationship and email tools, messaging and hosting providers. We provide these for convenience or to operate the Services and do not control or endorse third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their content, products, services or practices. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that party's own terms.

13 Privacy

Our handling of your personal and health information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Services, you acknowledge that we process your information as described there.

14 Disclaimers

The Services and website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any information provided through it is complete or current.

15 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Life Axis India and its officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from medical treatment, the acts or omissions of third-party providers, travel, your reliance on information from the Services, or your use of or inability to use the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount, if any, you paid to us for the relevant service (for example, the Care Pass fee). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Life Axis India and its officers, employees and partners from any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

17 Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts located in [Bengaluru, Karnataka] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.

18 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19 Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms or misuse the Services, or where we reasonably consider it necessary. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — will continue to apply.

20 General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a business transfer.
